Admissions Policy & Enrollment Procedures
Admissions
Parents who are interested in their children attending the Tarrytown United Methodist Church Children’s Day Out (CDO) program need to complete an “Application for Admission” and pay the non-refundable waiting list fee. This application along with the non-refundable fee allows the child’s name to be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list applies to the nine-month (fall/spring) program and does not guarantee admission.
The size of the classes shall be determined by the CDO Board of Directors (“the Board”) and the Director of the CDO program, in order to conform to the Texas licensing standards. The classes shall be filled according to the date of application and in the following order:
1. Children presently enrolled in the program and children of CDO staff.
2. Children of active Tarrytown United Methodist Church members who have joined by January 1 of the year they are registering.
3. Siblings of children presently enrolled in CDO.
4. Children of staff members at Tarrytown United Methodist Church.
Following the admission of students in the above categories, vacancies will be filled from the waiting list. The Board reserves the right to admit a scholarship student at any time.
Selection of children to be admitted to the program shall in no way be restricted on the basis of race, color, creed or national origin. Enrollment of children requiring special supervision will come under review of the Board. A non-refundable registration fee and deposit are required upon notification of admission. The non-refundable deposit is equal to one month’s tuition and will be applied to May’s tuition. All required forms must be completed and returned prior to admission.
There is an optional summer school program which is separate from the nine-month (fall/spring) program. An enrollment deadline for the optional summer school program will be established for current students.
Applications can be found on our forms page.
